November Security Patch Arrives Essential Phone

Andy Rubin’s Essential has started rolling out the November security patch to its Essential Phone (PH-1). This update weighs about 57MB and its build version number is NMJ32F. This security update also includes a fix for fingerprint related instabilities and it is currently rolling out OTA

All units of this smartphone will not receive the update at the same time thus you have to be patient for the update notification to pop up on your device. After all the issues that plagued the Essential phone since its launch, the company has worked really hard fix these issues and considering the huge price cut, we can safely say that the Essential Phone is worth considering again.

The Essential Phone comes with Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage which is not expandable. At launch, this phone sold for $699 but after the initial issues, it took nosedive in price to about $499 for both Black and White versions and the phone will come unlocked, ready to work in any carrier of buyer’s choice.
